Name: Kevin Miller
Kevin manages Microsoft‚Äôs national civic technology program which helps cities tackle problems through applications of technology and data and through supporting civic engagement and innovation initiatives.
His core interests include cross-sector approaches to solving community problems and applying data and technology to transform lives, particularly in urban envirionments.
Recently, Kevin joined Microsoft Silicon Valley from a career in the public sector, where he most recently led the Data Analytics Team in the San Jose City Manager‚Äôs Office. In this role, he helped lead the city‚Äôs open data initiative and conducted data analytics projects aimed at improving public service delivery and increasing government efficiency.
Kevin has also worked in the human services field, evaluating the efficacy and impact of social programs for Montgomery County, Maryland. Kevin graduated with a BA in political science from UC Berkeley and holds a Master of Public Policy degree from American University in Washington, DC.
Kevin enjoys international travel, reading literature and non-fiction, and plays baseball and golf year-around.
