Joseph ‚ÄúJoe‚Äù  DeSchryver, Chief Executive Officer, has over 16 years of experience of operating acute care hospitals and affiliated entities in California and Florida.

Prior to HCA, he was part of Tenet Healthcare Corporation where he served as Chief Executive Officer of Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo since 2013.

He has been involved in various community boards and charitable causes including: board member of CenCal, a managed Medi-Cal provider for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties, founding member of Family Clinic SLO, and board member of Economic Vitality Corporation of SLO County

In 2016, he was chosen as one of 10 CEO’s nationwide to the Tenet Council of CEOs and has received the Tenet Healthcare Circle of Excellence Award multiple times. In 2006, DeSchryver was recognized as a Top 20 Under 40 by The Tribune Newspaper and again in 2009 by Pacific Coast Business Times as a Top 40 Under 40.

Joe earned his bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Southern California and his masters of health services administration and masters of business administration from Arizona State University.

Southwest Launches Sale, Extends Open Middle Seat, And Adds Health Declaration For Customers
