With a passion for community and partnership building of all kinds, Michelle values opportunities to make connections between people, business and government.  Her long and rich government relations career has focused on helping companies defend their business model and grow their market share through interacting with government entities.  

As Vice President and Head of Government Relations for Turo, Michelle helps Turo, the leader in peer-to-peer car sharing, navigate the complex systems of government and regulatory agencies, in order to bring low cost car transit and micro-business opportunities to people across North America.  

Previously she spent 12 years working for eBay Marketplaces, eBay Inc. and PayPal ‚Äì as a Senior Director, establishing a US state government relations program, an emerging markets and new ventures program and global government relations program for PayPal. Her career also includes starting a US state government relations program for Cisco Systems, and working with a world-class team of professionals to protect Microsoft from anti-trust litigation at the state and federal level.  

Michelle started her career in Washington, DC as a government relations director for the Beneficial Corp, covering tax, consumer protection and employment issues for the company before the United States Congress.

She lives in the historic Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose, California, with her husband and two children.

The SVO Foundation is The SVO's line of business, specifically focused on making a local impact in the areas of education, workforce development, civic entrepreneurship, leadership, volunteerism and philanthropy. It accomplishes this through its Strive San Jose initiative and Leadership San Jose program.

We still need to support the nonprofits in our region who are continuing to provide critical services to the people of our community day and night—ensuring our most vulnerable populations are being housed, fed and cared for. However, they could really use our help in a number of ways: donating extra supplies, offering your time as a volunteer or through any generous donations in order to sustain themselves.
