Camie is the Chief Development Officer at Valley Medical Center Foundation.

She was born and raised in San Jose, but has lived all over the Bay Area. She is proud to be a true Native to the Bay Area as a descendant of the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Camie graduated San Jose State University with a Bachelors in Health Science, and received her Masters in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco. When at SJSU, she had an internship at Sacred Heart Community Service which ultimately led to my career in nonprofit development work. She spent several years at the American Heart Association before coming to Valley Medical Center Foundation leading a fabulous fundraising team.

Her passion for working in nonprofit development comes from the families, survivors and dedicated colleagues that she gets to work with every day.

She joined LSJ to learn more about the community that she works, lives & plays in. She also joined to get a better understanding of how the many different sectors of San Jose work together and learn how she might best be able to give back to my community.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and busy 1 year son, frequent backyard BBQ’s with family & friends, and wine tasting in Livermore & Santa Cruz Mountains.

Wondering how you can help during this time? Social distancing doesn't mean social isolation. We still need to support the nonprofits in our region who are continuing to provide critical services to the people of our community day and night—ensuring our most vulnerable populations are being housed, fed and cared for. However, they could really use our help in a number of ways: donating extra supplies, offering your time as a volunteer or through any generous donations in order to sustain themselves.
