Steinberg Hart announced today that Frederick Braggs, Assoc. AIA, has joined the firm as Principal & Chief Financial Officer. As part of the firmwide executive leadership team, Braggs will lead the business and financial operations for the award-winning, full-service architecture firm.

“It’s with great pleasure that I welcome Frederick to Steinberg Hart as Principal & CFO. The addition builds upon our strong growth momentum and reinforces the depth of our executive team,” said President & CEO David Hart, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP. “I am particularly impressed with Frederick’s ability to deftly balance financial management objectives—and the bottom line—with conscientious support of the delivery of first-in-class design across diverse sectors and regions. He knows the business of architecture inside-and-out and how to inspire all levels of a design team to understand how a project pencils while also having a deep understanding of the client side of the financial equation.”

Bringing two decades of financial management experience with global A/E firms, he will play a key role in advancing Steinberg Hart’s strategic objectives and financial goals. “Architecture is as much about passion as it is about the quality of our deliverables,” said Braggs. “Ideally, one is married to the other and held together by financial stewardship. I’m excited to partner with David and the executive leadership team to ensure that these conjoining forces continue to be a part of the firm’s DNA.”

Braggs believes architecture and design have the power to have a profound impact on the way we live. This belief has been a driver of his passion for the A/E industry and his approach to financial leadership. ‚ÄúSteinberg Hart‚Äôs focus on connecting people with places is a goal with which it‚Äôs easy to align,‚Äù said Braggs. ‚ÄúIt‚Äôs exciting to see the great design that Steinberg Hart has completed in key markets, and how our past and future projects will impact our built environment.‚Äù

His passion for serving as an integral and collaborative partner has resulted in an unmatched reputation within the industry. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Design & Construction Finance at Westfield where he worked closely with the construction and design executives to provide oversight and foster holistic and strategic planning for its flagship projects. Prior to that, Braggs held a series of financial leadership roles at Gensler, HOK, and AECOM.

Frederick Braggs holds a MBA from The Pennsylvania State University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in American Government and Politics from Louisiana State University. He is also an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
