Earlier this month, Google announced it would be investing in two of Silicon Valley's local nonprofits to aid in the fight to end homelessness: Downtown Streets Team and Project WEHope.
The search giant is giving Downtown Streets Team a $100,000 grant and Project WEHope $150,000 toward their work with the local homeless population.
In 2017, Google donated $1 million towards helping Silicon Valley families on the verge of homelessness and another $500,000 to support job training and job placement through East San Jose's Somos Mayfair.

The Google proposed campus in downtown San Jose will be catalytic, adding 15,000-20,000 jobs and expanding the city's core by nearly double.
We applaud Google for its continued investment into our community and look forward to see it continue to support San Jose's future.
