The Cupertino Chamber of Commerce, The SVO, Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Bay Area Council, businesses and residents came together ... AND THE TAX WAS DEFEATED.

The Cupertino City Council met last night to consider a new tax on the Cupertino business community: a business head count tax.

Together with our regional partners, we advocated on your behalf and encouraged you to join us. Many of you did.

Through this collaborative effort we were able to ensure that the City of Cupertino take a step back and reassess how it engaged our business community on this tax. We successfully curbed the hasty approval of a tax that could have had a ripple effect throughout Silicon Valley and instead, forged a clear path for collaborative regional solutions with all impacted stakeholders.

And we couldn't have done it without you. So thank you.

But our work is not done. We hope you will join us.

WATCH President & CEO Matt Mahood testify against this proposed business head count tax.
