On behalf of The Silicon Valley Organization (The SVO), we are writing to support the San Francisco 49ers’ and Levi’s Stadium’s bid to host the Super Bowl in 2025 or 2026. By way of background, we are the Silicon Valley’s premier business advocacy organization representing 1,400+ companies that employ nearly 300,000 workers and we represent our membership as the region’s largest Chamber of Commerce.

As the region’s largest business group, we are committing to being a strong partner alongside the San Francisco 49ers to host Super Bowl 59 or 60. We are extremely interested in this tremendous opportunity to engage businesses, civic leaders, and neighbors to promote the Super Bowl throughout Silicon Valley. In 2016, Levi’s Stadium hosted Super Bowl 50 and we were a key partner in promoting the National Football League’s (NFL) “Golden Anniversary”. We hope to continue this partnership to both promote the NFL’s positive brand and enhance economic development opportunities for our region.

The SVO’s distinguished membership includes many professional sports franchises, such as the San Francisco 49ers, San Jose Earthquakes, San Jose Sharks, Golden State Warriors, and the Oakland Athletics. As such, we believe that it is important to continue hosting the Super Bowl in Silicon Valley, which is a diverse community that will have a wide audience for the NFL. We hope that you will continue supporting our vibrant community by hosting either Super Bowl 59 or 60 at Levi’s Stadium.

Accountability & Better Government Reforms – Rules Committee Agenda Item G.9
San José is the 10th largest city in the United States, yet it is stuck in the 1980’s with a management structure more suited for small cities. As we face the greatest series of crises in our lifetime – a global pandemic and the deepest economic recession since the great recession – we must have the people’s choice, an elected Accountable Mayor, be directly responsible for the city.
