2019 Leadership San Jose: Debra Dake-Morrell
Deb Dake-Morrell is a Supervising Program Administrator for Valley Water, where she leads the best team ever! Deb and her team work with the community to resolve violations of the Ordinance that protects the creeks and waterways of Santa Clara County. A highly sensitive issue, she brings her background in conflict resolution and human relations to the job on a daily basis. Deb’s favorite part of the work she does is the people and the reward of doing her part to return creek-side land to its natural habitat.

Julio is a native Californian, and currently resides in Sunnyvale. He attended DeAnza College and San Jose State. Soon after he began his career in Corporates Services and has worked for high tech companies in Fremont and Dublin.He later transitioned into Facilities Management and is currently the Building Site Manager for Oracle’s downtown San Jose location. During his time at Oracle he has been involved in several of Oracle’s South Bay mergers and acquisitions including Pillar, BlueKai, Talari and Pall-era.

Joe began his career at the Water District as a Maintenance Worker I in the flood control division. As his career progressed, he moved over to the Water Utility Division were he now supervises the maintenance team at Penitencia Water Treatment Plant.
