About

Leadership San Jose (LSJ) is the region’s premiere leadership training program. With a class of 35 members, LSJ engages in a rigorous 10-part, application-based program that brings together emerging and established professionals within the San Jose metropolitan area and exposes them to a broad range of issues that impact the region’s economic prosperity and quality of life, with a goal of increasing participants’ civic, political, philanthropic and/or community service engagement.

Along with the educational aspect of the program, cohort members complete a chosen, community-based project that gives back to San Jose by donating time and services to a regional non-profit.

With an alumni base spanning more than 26 years and more than 800 local business, nonprofit and public sector professionals, the LSJ experience doubles as a way to grow your network. Notable alumni include former San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed, Mercury News Columnist Sal Pizarro, and National Geographic Magazine Editor in Chief Susan Goldberg.

The group remains active throughout the year with regular mixers and events.
