East Side Union High School District Appoints SJSV Chamber Staff, Members to Advisory Board

Members of the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce were appointed to East Side Union High School District’s Career Technical Education [CTE] Advisory Board on Thursday  Oct. 20. The role of the Advisory Board is to advise, recommend, and support the development of the 23 CTE pathways and serving nearly 2,500 students throughout the school district.

Eddie Truong, SJSV Chamber Career Pathways Liaison to ESUHSD, was appointed chair of the ESUHSD CTE Advisory Board on October 20.

 These are the kinds of innovative partnerships that ESUHSD seeks in order to prepare each one of our students to be both college and career ready,” said Chris Funk, ESUHSD Superintendent. “Last summer, 41 ESUHSD students received paid internships through our partnership with the Chamber and we look forward to exploring additional opportunities. We are thrilled to hear about the Advisory Board appointees and for their support.”
