SVO Members Jump In, Offer Ways to Help NorCal Fire Victims

The wildfire fires are devastating our neighbors to the North.

But as they say, it takes a village and our Silicon Valley business village is large and full of heart.

Google and Apple have both made large financial donations and are assisting victims with their digital tools.

Comcast is providing free Wi-Fi to families at various evacuation centers.

Chevron has also donated towards fire victim relief.

Olla Cocina is collecting donations and will be taking them up to help victims daily as well as encouraging donations to the Napa Community Foundation.

Our local sports teams, the San Jose Earthquakes, San Jose Sharks, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Athletics and Golden State Warriors are also raising money for victims, matching donations made by fans.

SAP is also collecting donations, and you can drop them off at The SVO office, 9-5 PM through tomorrow.

The Safeway Foundation is hosting an in-store fundraiser to help people and communities affected by the California Wildfires.

Safeway stores in Northern California and Northern Nevada are raising money to help the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from these devastating fires.

They will match customer donations up to $500,000.

Along with financial assistance, Safeway is also working with various local organizations throughout Napa and Sonoma counties to provide food and other necessities to multiple shelters.

Technology Credit Union is also matching donations made for NorCal fire relief up to $10,000. Click here to learn more.
