Emily has spent her professional career improving the opportunities and learning experiences of the youth in our public comprehensive schools.

After teaching history to high school students in Gilroy and Santa Clara for eight years, Emily became an Assistant Principal with the San Jose Unified School District and has held that role for the past five years.

Emily's ambitions are that in Leadership San Jose, she will grow the connections between the thriving industries of Silicon Valley with the public school system.

She believes that students of San Jose deserve a world-class education with unrivaled career and industry experiences and exposure.

Emily loves to work in San Jose and loves living there, too. She enjoys yoga and biking the streets of San Jose, in addition to bringing her dog to its many dog parks and trails. Emily earned a Master’s in Education from Stanford University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Geography from UCLA.
