“The Chamber is strengthening the region’s economy by ensuring our business community is proactively communicating its workforce needs to our most valuable local work talent pipeline – our schools,” said Matt Mahood, SJSV Chamber President & CEO. “Strive San Jose, a program of the Chamber, provides the connections necessary between business and education to make certain we empower our kids with the skills necessary to be successful in the Silicon Valley workplace.”
Access Silicon Valley allows SJSV Chamber members to engage with leading policy makers at the city, county, state and federal levels to discuss issues that matter to the business community of San Jose and Silicon Valley.
“The members of the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce came together last year to create Strive San Jose for just this purpose: building a qualified, dedicated and work-ready career pipeline for San Jose high school students to enter into a job placement pathway of their choice,” said Matthew Mahood, President & CEO, SJSV Chamber.
“ESUHSD provides the type of educational rigor and opportunities that SJSV Chamber wants to have as partners,” said Matt Mahood, SJSV Chamber President & CEO. “We were impressed by the abundance of academic programs, extensive athletic offerings and extracurricular activities available to students and feel that the partnership will be both beneficial to our business members as well as to the students.”
